JOURNEY OF BUILDING KINDMEAL CLONE WEBSITE
Hi reader, I’m excited to tell you about the website which I have cloned. The name of the website is KindMeal.my, “The World’s 1st Meat-Free Lifestyle Platform”. Founded by Andy Koh in 2008, PetFinder. has been working hard with nationwide animal shelters, rescuers, and pet lovers to improve Malaysia’s animal welfare. Much of our focus was centered upon pets — specifically, dogs and cats (alright, we have rabbits, hamsters, birds, fishes, turtles, and chickens too).
Firstly, I would like to express how grateful I am to Masai School for giving me this wonderful opportunity to learn under their guidance.
Moving on ahead, I developed a clone of KindMeal within one week as a part of our curriculum’s Module 1 project evaluation.
TECHNOLOGY WE USED
1.HTML
2. CSS
3. Javascript
4. Git
Yes, I know what you might be thinking. How is it possible to make the clone with just 4 technologies? I have just started my humble journey to learn full-stack web development at the Masai school, we just knew these technologies so far. But I hope you would appreciate the amount of precision and the perfectness I have achieved. To know how I did it please keep reading.
Some snippets of our website
Git was fairly new to me and thus it became a challenge to merge the code and solve the conflicts.
I used the following resources for help:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/
Fonts
- Google Fonts https://fonts.google.com/
- FontAwesome https://www.fontawesome.com/
Challenges
- Git-pull and push of the code.
2. Merging each other code for the first time.
3. Adding javascript for functionalities.
Takeaways
Overall, it was a surreal experience, and I look forward to many such challenges.
